How Can Parents Help With College Searches and Applications? - College Admissions Q&As (usnews.com)
Found this useful article on supporting your children through the college admissions process. It's probably most relevant for senior parents, but it's never too early to get informed on the process.

Registering for the May SAT
Although it's been less than a week since most juniors took them, the deadline to register for the May 7th SAT is not that far off. The registration deadline is April 8th. Be sure to keep the same location if your March site worked well. If you didn't like the site much, ask you fellow juniors where they took the SAT, and find a new location that will work better for you.

Getting Into College 101
The following powerpoint is one I created for freshman and sophomore parents called "Getting Into College 101." The main focus of the powerpoint is the importance of the high school transcript and how to calculate GPAs at BCCS. I presented it this fall at the 1st quarter parent conference meetings, but since attendance was light, I wanted to make it available to the entire community. Enjoy.

Getting the Ball Rolling
Hello Boston Collegiate Charter School families and friends. The following Blog has been created with the intention of keeping the greater BCCS community abreast of important events and information related to College Programming (hence the name). In addition, the blog seeks to serve as an initial spring board for families navigating the college search and application process by providing links to key websites. Hopefully you will find the blog helpful in both of these ways.
All the best, and more to come,
